Who do I go to church for?

As believers, we should always be thinking about this, like…24/7! Yes, that’s a lot of thinking. And this is a simple answer: You go to church for God! And God only. Why? Because we are celebrating the Lord’s presence, and his repetitive faithfulness to/towards us! Otherwise, you would probably be going to church for a few reasons:

  1. Only/mostly for friends.
  2. For family.
  3. For good impressions.

We need to think and pray about who you go to church for. And be honest with yourself, and God. He wants to know about your thoughts, and complaints about pretty much everything.

Here’s a prayer:

Dear God/Christ, I need your help to know that you are the real/true reason that I go to church for! Please give me wisdom on my next steps on/for ___________ . I honor you, and love you with all of my heart. Let this be so/Amen.
